Job opportunity: Rural Sites Manager

Following recent approval of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the Trust’s ‘Onwards & Upwards’ project we are seeking to recruit a Rural Sites Manager who will assist the Trust with transition to a new sustainable business model. 
 
The Rural Sites Manager will develop a 5-year Farm Plan which optimises the potential for increasing income and reducing costs while supporting the Trust’s conservation and management aims at its 10 sites. The Rural Sites Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management and maintenance of Trust sites, and will contribute to the developing Business Plan, e.g by identifying where volunteer support may provide savings.
 
We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of and commitment to environmental farming best practice, practical experience of managing agri-environmental agreements and working with relevant legislation such as cross-compliance, and experience of developing farm business plans.
 
Salary: Part-time fixed term contract: 76 days over 18 months at daily rate of £250 (19k total) 
Based: Home based, travel throughout Norfolk
